Database administrators provide services to maintain and improve integrity, performance, resilience and security of databases in our area of responsibility.    Also offer support services in terms of system administration and database administration.    This involves offering on-call support for Major Incidents that affects the project environments.    Database administrators are part of a transversal Engineering Department with more than 40 members oriented to ITOps, CloudOps and DevOps.

Job summary:

 • Database installations and maintenance: install, upgrade and manage database applications

 • Troubleshooting according to Service level agreements

 • Data recovery

 • Issues analysis

 • Monitoring of performance and tuning databases: manage parameters (queries, indexes, physical configurations, etc.)

 • Database capacity management / Space management.

 • Security management: DB Patch management, log analysis, etc.

 • Manage database access

 • Provide technical expertise, technology watch

 • Project execution on DBMS scope. work with DevOps concepts

 • Database repeating tasks automation, work with DevOps concepts

 • Continuously improve and write procedures / reflex sheets for supervision and operation teams

 • Write documentation related to different procedures and best practices

 • Collaborate with local and FR teams to solve different project issues

Mandatory competencies/experience:

 • Good experience in administering multiple DBMS

 • Solid skills in PostgreSQL

 • Solid experience with Oracle DB administration

 • System administration skills – Windows and Linux

 • Experience with different Linux distributions

 • Scripting skills – Shell, PowerShell, Python

 • Working experience in Incident Management, as support based on Incidents and Change Requests

 • Team-player

 • Adaptable and Open-Minded

 • Structured and organized, documentation oriented

 • Continuous improvement mentality

 • Availability for on-call

Nice to have competencies/experience:

 • Ansible experience

 • French

 • ITIL knowledge
